Terms of Use

By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Effective .

Informational purposes only

Everything on this site is general information about insuring teen and youthful drivers. It is not insurance advice, legal advice, or financial advice, and it is not a recommendation about a specific policy for your circumstances.

Insurance requirements, rates, and law vary by state and change over time. We work to keep content current and cite our sources, but we do not warrant that any information is complete, current, or applicable to your situation. Verify anything consequential with a licensed agent or your state insurance department before acting on it.

No agency or insurer relationship

Teen Driver is not an insurance company or a licensed insurance agency. Using this site does not create an agency, fiduciary, or professional relationship between you and us, and it does not create any insurance coverage.

No coverage exists unless and until a licensed insurer issues a policy to you. Nothing here binds coverage or obligates any insurer to offer it.

Referrals to independent agents

Agents and agencies we refer you to are independent third parties. We do not control them, do not supervise their advice, and are not responsible for their acts or omissions, the policies they recommend, the premiums they quote, or the service they provide.

Any agreement for insurance is between you, the agent or agency, and the insurer. We are not a party to it.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, to use the site only for lawful purposes, and not to submit information about another person without their permission. You agree not to attempt to interfere with the site, submit automated or fraudulent requests, or scrape or reuse the content commercially without permission.

Intellectual property

The content, design, and compilation on this site are owned by Teen Driver and protected by copyright. You may read and share individual pages with attribution. You may not republish substantial portions or build a competing resource from this content without written permission.

Third-party data reproduced here — state law tables and cited research — remains the property of its publishers and is used with attribution.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

This site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teen Driver will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, arising out of your use of this site or any referral made through it — including any uninsured or underinsured loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us, which is zero, or one hundred US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these terms and will post revisions here with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Talk to an agent who does this every day

A licensed independent agent in your area will review your coverage, apply every discount your household qualifies for, and show you what changes before anything is bound.
