What car insurance discounts are available for teen drivers?
The largest are usually the home-and-auto bundle and the good student discount, followed by driver training credits, telematics programs, and the student-away-at-school discount. Multi-car and paid-in-full credits apply across the household. Most families qualify for several at once and are never asked about half of them.
Discounts are not automatically applied. Carriers apply what they are told about, which means eligibility that nobody asks about is eligibility that quietly goes unused. Good student status in particular has to be documented with a transcript or report card, and it has to be re-submitted as terms change.
Stacking matters more than any single credit. A household that captures the home-and-auto bundle, good student, driver training, and telematics together sees a materially different number than one that captures only the first.
